Hello.
I’m Jason, great to meet you. In 2001, I founded FiveStone, a design agency with a mission to “amplify positive impact.” Over the course of 23 years, FiveStone had the privilege of walking alongside hundreds of organizations offering strategy, branding, and awareness campaigns with the goal of making the world a better place.
In 2024, FiveStone joined the Whiteboard agency as a way to steward its mission and legacy into the future. I now serve as a partner at Whiteboard, an award-winning creative agency, and a Certified B-Corp. Like FiveStone, they believe in the power of design to change the world.
Outside of Whiteboard, I serve as a Venture Partner at Praxis. I also consult with organizations that are mostly early-stage or at a major inflection point.
Over the past two decades, I’ve written a few books ranging from spiritual living to branding. My latest is Culture Bending Narratives: Moving Beyond Story to Create Meaningful Brands. I speak on this and a variety of other topics.
I live in the Hudson Valley of NY, where my wife and I own and operate an independent bookstore.
I’m not really on social media, but I’d love to grab a beer and veggie burger in real life. Or, a Zoom works too. Otherwise, you can keep up with me on LinkedIn and Medium.
There’s no shortage of books talking about the importance of story, and for good reason. Effective storytelling is an important tool for your organization. But … Storytelling is not enough.
If you want an organization that creates long-term positive impact, then you need more than clever stories. You need to create meaning through narrative.
A narrative frames the way we see the world and carries with it the power to capture hearts and minds and point your audience toward a hopeful future.
